My hobby started in December 1996 when I purchased and setup a
94 gallon aquarium setup. I originally went with freshwater because
I couldn't justify spending $20 (or more) on one fish.

In one of my many trips to Marine Oasis (a saltwater fish shop located less
than two miles from my house) John, the owner, suggested I try my hand
at a saltwater tank. Since I was ready to tear down the system anyway,
I figured I'll give John's suggestion a try. That was April 2000...
many upgrades later, I'm still going strong with a full blown reef setup.

In September 2002, I made the jump to a 180 gallon All Glass tank.
